Cover vs. Contain (The Golden Rule)

When fitting an image into a square box, you have two choices:

• Cover (Crop): "Fill the box." We zoom in until the box is full. Edges of the image will be cut off. Best for grids of avatars or product tiles where uniform alignment is key.
• Contain (Fit): "Show the whole image." We zoom out until the image fits. Empty space might appear on sides (letterboxing). Best for art galleries where you can't crop the artwork.

Use Cases

1. E-commerce: You have 50 product photos of different sizes. Use this to make 50 uniform 300x300 square thumbnails for your catalog page.
2. Video Platforms: Generate 1280x720 "Poster" images for your video player.

Step-by-Step Guide
